Faye Fantastic!

It all worked out..

I flew home to CA last night..so happy that all went amazingly well with Mom's operation..we all know that our Heavenly Father & many angels watched over her & continue to do so. We also know that through her faith & your prayers, our prayers were answered. With all of the worldly problems surrounding us, we are reminded of our Heavenly Father's love for all of us..that no matter what, WE are never ever alone. What great comfort this has brought to all of us. I'm posting the last pictures I took at Mom & Dad's house..Kaye came to visit on Friday & Aenon, Emma, & David came Friday night. Mom had a blast & appreciated the fun visits. AND what a wonderful week I had having the opportunity to help Mom through this week..I love you always & forever MOM! All my love, Melissa

Lots of visitors!

Mom has been home for 24 hours & is doing great..not much of an appetite but that is to be expected.  We're keeping her full on yogurt, pasta, broth, etc..so she's getting her protein. She said it was wonderful to sleep in her own bed last night..yeah!  Today, the home nurse came by for her 1st visit, the physical therapists came by also..they will be visiting regularly & are available 24/7 which is comforting.  Kaye(Mom's sister) is here visitng & Emma & Aenon are coming by later this afternoon. Mom LOVES the visits & appreciates all of your love & support...AND she loves your phone calls.  I will take some more pics & upload soon..Mom says to tell all of you hello & she loves you!

Coming home

Dad & I have been busy preparing for Mom's coming home today..Dad is at the hospital picking her up right now.  We went to Costco last night to pick up soups, etc for Mom's return.  Last night I took video of her walking..amazingly she is standing straight up without hunching over..we walked 5 "laps" around the hospital corridor..she says that she has no pain running down her legs anymore..so exciting!  We are so grateful for her continued recovery & all of your fun comments on the blog..Mom has read every one of them each day.  It has really helped to lift her spirits..she thanks you for all of your support & love!

Dad & I will be heading over to the hospital in awhile..Dad talked to Mom this morning..she had just finished taking a welcomed shower.  The doctor came by earlier this morning & gave her the ok to exit the hospital tomorrow..yeah!! She's feeling good & ready to come home..I will be posting some fun pics that I took yesterday..Mom put her makeup on & was ready for a little photo shoot..so I'll be doing that later this afternoon.  Thank you to all of you for your thoughts & prayers in Mom's behalf..love you all!

It's a good day

Mom Faye is doing great! Of course the nurses love her because she doesn't "whine"..she's as strong as an oxe.  She's been so happy that she hasn't experienced any nausea & has been able to eat pork, potatoes, & salad for lunch..best way to get her energy back.  She's been up & walking 3 times today & is looking forward to getting out of here.  She keeps expressing her gratefulness for all of the prayers said in her behalf.  We love you MOM!

We visited with Mom tonight..her spirits are high & she looks great.  She just kept repeating, "It's over..I made it!"  She's a trooper for sure..lots of good genes. So they just need to keep pumping that pain medication in her & let her sleep, sleep, sleep.  Have lots of sweet dreams tonight Mom..we love you always!

It was a success!!

Mom's surgery is done! The doctor just finished talking to us..Mom's doing great & he said everything went well.  The doctor drew us a picture of what he did..it's mind boggling what doctors are able to do. We are so grateful for these brilliant physicians & surgeons!  Mom is in ICU right now & they will come get us when she's ready to go to her room..so happy for you MOM!!

Dad & I are here at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo Ut for Mom's surgery..she went into surgery at 2pmMT & the surgery is expected to last 4 hours.  Mom was in good spirits as they took her to surgery..she had a BIG smile on her face & is so ready to be done with this!  I will update regularly with information about Mom Faye..& we would love to hear from you.
